Can anyone tell me how to change this .the other icons in the taskbar can be changed by going to properties. But the menu bar has the redhat icon or the kde icon which doesnt give us an option to change the icons.
Depening on what distrobution you use, this may vary, but I believe the start Icon is located under:
/usr/share/icons/Name of theme you are using/size of icon (eg 16x16)/apps/kmenu.png or possibly: /opt/kde3/share/icons/Name of theme you are using/size of icon (eg 16x16)/apps/kmenu.png (do a search on kmenu.png to see where it is)
alternatively you can put your icon under your home directory in ~/.kde/share/icons/ theme / size /kmenu.png and it should change it for just you.
NB. You may need to have the icon in a variety of sizes, depending on how you are set up eg: 16x16, 20x20, 24x24 etc.
