The Australian Gentoo Community is just beginning to form, if you use Gentoo (or are interested) then come and join us in #gentoo-au on irc.freenode.net! Currently there are about 30 users sitting in the channel, in the last few days things have really kicked off.

Ever since its inception Gentoo has always been a pain to install. Whist the manual nature of installing Gentoo leads to the greatest amount of flexibility, many people would rather not have the hassle and use a graphical installer instead. Well, with the current release (2006.0) and beyond Gentoo now comes standard with such a graphical installer (much to the disdain of Gentoo purists :P).
